Andalucía refuerza la investigación en atención primaria y aumenta un 174,73% las ayudas
La Fundación Progreso y Salud ha destinado casi 626.500 euros a 40 proyectos desarrollados por profesionales de todas las provincias que abordan diversas áreas.

En concreto, se han financiado 40 proyectos de investigación de muy diversas áreas temáticas desarrollados por profesionales de las ocho provincias de Andalucía. Así, hay trabajos que tratan intervenciones telemáticas personalizadas para la prevención de la ansiedad en la población joven y adulta; el consumo de psicofármacos y la salud desde la perspectiva de género; salud ósea y calidad de vida, o la influencia de contaminantes químicos ambientales en la tuberculosis, por mencionar algunos de ellos.
Esta convocatoria en la forma en la que se conoce hoy se puso en marcha en el año 2020. Se estructura en dos fases: la primera de ellas contempla la presentación de lo que se denomina expresiones de interés, es decir, breves exposiciones de la propuesta de investigación que se llevaría a cabo en el caso de obtener financiación. Según se establece en las bases, deben ser aplicables directamente a la asistencia sanitaria.
La segunda fase consiste en la presentación del proyecto de I+D+i. Entre ambas fases hay un periodo de formación y asesoramiento por parte de los profesionales de la Escuela Andaluza de salud Pública, que prestan ayuda a los candidatos para la preparación del proyecto.
Desde 2020 hasta la fecha, la Fundación Progreso y Salud ha destinado cerca de 1,5 millones de euros a esta convocatoria de carácter competitivo cuyo objetivo es impulsar y promover la I+D+i en la asistencia sanitaria, ya sea mejorando los resultados de salud o aportando valor a la eficacia y organización del propio sistema sanitario.
Esta convocatoria es uno de los instrumentos que tiene la Estrategia de I+i en Salud de Andalucía para impulsar la actividad investigadora de los profesionales de atención primaria (desde la atención a la persona, a la familia y a la comunidad) y de los profesionales de los hospitales comarcales y centros hospitalarios de alta resolución. Se suma a otras líneas de financiación orientadas al impulso de la práctica científica que aporte soluciones a mejorar la calidad de vida de la población, como las ayudas de intensificación de la actividad investigadora, la contratación de personal científico y otras convocatorias para el refuerzo de la innovación y la colaboración público-privada.
